Suqian, located at the northern part of Jiangsu Province, is the youngest city the province. It is in the radiation location of the Huai Hai Economic Belt, Coastal Economic Belt and Huai River Economic Belt. Suqian covers 8524 square kilometers with 5.8366 million population in the end of 2024. With vast plains, fertile land and crisscross rivers and lakes, Suqian is known as the "hometown of poplar trees", "hometown of aquatic products", "hometown of famous liquor", "hometown of flowers" and "hometown of silkworm cocoons".
